Isopropyl alcohol dissolves a wide range of non-polar compounds. It also evaporates quickly, leaves nearly zero oil traces and is relatively non-toxic, compared to alternative solvents. Ideal as a cleaning fluid, especially for dissolving oils. Isopropyl alcohol vapour is denser than air and is flammable. It should be kept away from heat and open flame and is a skin irritant. Wearing protective gloves is recommended.
